Natasha Beauty Inside and Out Media Launch
When In Manila and looking for a gift for your girl, why not choose Natasha Beauty?
Last October 9th, Natasha Beauty held a product launch at Romulo Cafe along the famed Jupiter street in Makati aptly titled “Natasha Beauty Inside and Out”. I took this first assignment as a challenge to break out of my comfort zone as a photographer and a hardware writer. Not knowing what was actually in store was therefore both intimidating and exciting at the same time.
What greeted me was two lovely ladies, a Natasha Beauty media kit and the standard registration form asking for your bust size, which a friend jokingly estimated for me via SMS as a 32 AA. Not bad for a 6’1 165 pound man, right?

As I walked inside the room, there were about 20 people, bloggers and media men already enjoying their sumptuous lunch, which made me regret having mine before leaving home; so I settled for a molo soup while thinking “Am I the only guy here?” – not counting the staff of Natasha Beauty and the waiters of the restaurant, that is. I was glad that two other guys eventually arrived and sat at my table, as well.

As a guy, I really do not understand makeup that much but as a photographer, I do know the importance of great makeup and a good makeup artist since this actually saves time in post-processing a profile photo. Over time, I came to appreciate the artistry and the effort done by a HMUA as it takes time, skills and the right tools to do a fantastic job, like a painter to a blank canvas. Since I didn’t pay that much attention during shoots, though, I never realized that math is also involved in applying makeup when Mr. Doloso angled the Natasha Beauty eyebrow liner between the nose and the eyebrows to get the arc. That is something I learned for the day.

Ah, the Natasha Beauty BB cream – something I’ve seen in malls, advertisements championed by porcelain skinned Japanese and Koreans. I really did not know what it was until an SMS informed me what it was for. As of writing, I did further research and did you know that it was formulated and used to protect the skin after a surgery? Well, that was interesting!
