Franks: Hotdogs with Distinctly Filipino Flavors

The words “Filipino hotdogs” may conjure up images of the bright red, grocery store bought sausages that can be seen everywhere from the breakfast table to carinderias to virtually every kid’s birthday party. They’re so ubiquitous to contemporary Filipino life that our version of spaghetti won’t be complete without chunks of red hotdogs.

Franks, a sports snack bar inside Resorts World Manila’s gaming area, takes the humble hotdog and gives it not just a gourmet spin (as is in vogue these days), but a truly Filipino one – without a hint of red food coloring in sight.

What you get are freshly made hotdogs made with distinctly Filipino flavors, such as Chicken Inasal, Chicken Pork Adobo, and Bistek Tagalog.

Franks’ Pinoy Hotdogs go beyond just adding toppings on a standard-issue sausage. Each hotdog is crafted according to what it claims to be.

The Chicken Inasal hotdog is indeed made with chicken that has been marinated in Inasal sauces and this is evident even when eaten plain. The annatto oil, crispy garlic and annatto bits, spring onions, and other garnishes all just add up to the inasal experience.

The same goes for the Chicken Pork Adobo and Bistek Tagalog hotdogs. While they are indeed generously slathered with adobo and bistek sauces, the hotdogs are clearly true to the taste of the classic Pinoy dishes.

All three hotdog flavors were custom-made for Franks and can be enjoyed exclusively at RWM.

To complement the savory tartness of the Pinoy Hotdogs, Franks also serves an impressive selection of premium beers, a classic soda fountain, sports bar snacks, and desserts. Please take note that guests must be at least 21 years old to enter.
