With its advocacy of promoting the beauty and rich culture of the Philippines, Enchanted Kingdom (EK) once again holds its Flores de Laguna on May 28, 2017. It is set to be another enchanting celebration, as the country’s first and only world-class theme park showcases Laguna’s finest designers and loveliest ladies through a festive observation of a time-honored Filipino tradition. This year, the sagalas will parade in gown creations that draw inspiration from famous Philippine tourist destinations.
Twelve Laguna designers will participate in the themed gown competition, which will be judged by noted personalities:
- Fashion designer Rene Salud
- Beauty industry luminary James Cooper
- Manhunt Philippines 2016 winner Don Mcgyver Cochico
- Enchanted Kingdom Chief Operating Officer Cynthia R. Mamon
- Beauty queen and top model Melanie Marquez.
Enchanted Kingdom has always been a strong supporter of promoting Filipino culture, heritage, and talent through its various park activities and now with its latest landmark attraction, Agila:The Eksperience. It is the country’s first and only flying theatre that takes its audiences through the destinations with an eagle’s point of view to encourage Filipino pride and love for the environment.
This magical event is held in partnership with the local government units of Laguna including Department of Tourism, Laguna Tourism, Culture, Arts & Trade Office and Laguna’s Circle of Fashion Designers, to showcase various local towns’ beauty and talent and to unify various communities in the Philippines in celebrating the country’s diverse culture.
