Filipino YouTube personality Chris Cantada won the Most Popular Video in the Philippines Award at the WebTV Asia Awards 2016 in South Korea for his video entitled “The Blue Brothers”.
We contacted Mr. Cantada himself and got his thoughts on his recent win:
It’s so awesome knowing that I represented the country with me wearing blue spandex! Haha. I was so proud just to be in the same category with Mikey and Ranz/Niana. We were saying to each other that whoever wins, it will still be a Philippine win.
I’m really grateful that I found a platform to express my geekiness, and I’m glad that there are some [people] who actually enjoy watching it. – Chris Cantada
Other nominees for the category include ABS-CBN (Thank you for the love), Mikey Bustos (Epic Star Wars Video), Ranz/Naia (Siblings Mashup Dance Battle), and Guava Juice (Slime Bath).
