Filipinos are fairly positive people. However, since 2014, the happiness and satisfaction of Filipinos plunged to its lowest.
According to the Social Weather Stations poll conducted in December 2019, many Filipinos are generally happy and satisfied with their lives. However, there was a seven-point decline from the 94% in 2017.
The result of the poll is an unhappiness score of 13%. The highest happiness percentage was found in Mindanao at 89%. In Metro Manila, it was at 17%.
If the poll results are categorized by class, Class E’s happiness declined from 2017’s 90% to this year’s 79%.
The poll was based on an interview of 1,440 adults from different regions of the Philippines. They used an error margin of ±2.6% for national percentages, and ±5% each for Balance Luzon, Metro Manila, Visayas and Mindanao.
