In case you missed it, Funko Pop is releasing two new vinyl figures that will surely capture the hearts of Filipinos.
Introducing the official Funko Pops of De La Salle University and Ateneo De Manila University!
The two new figures are based on the two institutions’ mascots which are the Green Archers and the Blue Eagles respectively. These are part of the Pop College Line and are also the first ones ever made of colleges based outside of the United States.
According to a report by CNN Philippines, the figures, which were ideated by Filbar’s store, were initially supposed to be of basketball players wearing the schools’ official basketball jerseys. But after finding out about the brand’s collection of vinyl figures of college mascots, they decided to do just that.
It is unknown if other Philippine University mascots will eventually be getting their own collectible figures but we’ll be holding onto hope that they do!
Starting today, July 12, these Green Archer and Blue Eagle Funko Pops will be available exclusively at Filbar’s stores for PHP 800 each.
A maximum of six figures each will be sold per customer.
