5 Times Fifth Harmony Slayed Their Live Performances

Article by: Camille Dominique Javier (IG: @camilledominiquejavier)

Fifth Harmony has come a long way from their humble beginnings, auditioning on The X Factor USA. Their powerful yet soulful voices paired up with catchy beats, make them absolutely irresistible and great to watch. We can only imagine how great they are live.

When one of the girls, Camila Cabello, decided to go solo, fans teared up a bit. It almost felt like Fifth Harmony would never be the same. Nonetheless, we’re happy for her! She is making waves in the music industry and we can only hope for the best for both Camila and the rest of Fifth Harmony. So, in the spirit of nostalgia, let’s look at some of their best performances here.

5. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (The X Factor USA 2012)

Throwback to Fifth Harmony’s first live performance on The X Factor USA, kicking it off with a pop song cover of Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Getting Back Together”. The performance was adorable, to say the least, and Camila’s wink was just so cute and her smile was everything. Their performance was raw yet powerful—a great reminder of why they’re such a great pop-girl group to listen to.

4. Work from Home (Live at People’s Choice Awards 2017)

With Camila gone, you’d think that Fifth Harmony would never be the same. Well, their performance of “Work from Home” at the People’s Choice awards probably proved you wrong because Fifth Harmony slayed it! The girl’s gave their all in this live performance, as if to tell the world—just because one member left, doesn’t mean we can’t make it work! You go, Fifth Harmony!

3. Give Your Heart a Break with Demi Lovato (X Factor)

Pop-star Demi Lovato surprised us when she joined Fifth Harmony in a duet performance on The X Factor. I’m sure we were all kinda #shookt. Not just by Demi killing it on stage with Fifth Harmony but also with Fifth Harmony strutting their stuff (and their voices) with Demi, too!

2. That’s My Girl (Live at the AMA’s)

Fifth Harmony’s performance of “That’s My Girl” at the AMA’s really got us saying: yaaaas those are my girls, alright! On top of their on fleek outfits, the girls treated us to a heart-pounding and powerful performance—quite a far cry from their humble beginnings. You could really see the growth in these girls as musicians. Who do you think bloomed the most from Fifth Harmony?

1. Let It Be (The X Factor USA)

Last but certainly not the least, is Fifth Harmony’s last live performance on The X Factor. We all got kinda sentimental as we watched the girls pour themselves out singing to this classic Beatles hit. Even Simon admitted that he felt nostalgic and sentimental about introducing the girls for the last time as contestants on the show. Performing the song also meant a lot to Simon since he was a big fan of the Beatles, too.

Needless to say, Fifth Harmony is amazing. These girls with powerful vocals and catchy songs are definitely more than just pretty faces who can dance—they can really put on a show! If these recordings of their live performances aren’t enough to convince you that their live shows are a treat, then come see for yourself as Fifth Harmony comes to Manila this March 6, 2018 at the Kia Theater!
