7 Talented Filipino Groups That Cover Korean Male Idols

KISPinoy, The Biggest K-Pop Icon Search Kicks Off in the Philippines

Because of the wide influence of Korean pop (K-pop) in the world, especially in the Philippines, countless passionate fans are inspired to form their very own cover groups. Despite the fact that it is tricky to cope with the jaw-dropping dance steps of Korean idols, Filipino cover groups never fail to impress and amuse many Filipinos who are also fans like themselves.

Here are seven rising Filipino groups that cover Korean K-Pop idols.

7. BIGBANG Faction

BIGBANG Faction was inspired to create a cover group because of their boundless love for BIGBANG, and of course, dancing. Their group was founded in 2011 and was active until early 2015. They were the first BIGBANG cover group that was able to make it to the K-pop Convention’s Dance Battle. Thanks to their participation, they were included in an issue of Pulp Magazine.

6. B143

If there’s one word that can describe B143, or Because I Love You, it’s brotherhood. They are all solid BANAs (B1A4 fans) and passionate in dancing. Hence, they decided to form a cover group to pay tribute to B1A4. They were also invited to scores of K-pop events to perform. To name a few, they performed in Asian Pop Expo 2012, K-pop and Culture Fest 4.2 last 2013, and B1A4 Road Trip to Manila 2014 Countdown Day 1.

5. ZerotoHero (Z2H)

ZerotoHero started from zero, from nothing. Their group name represents humility until they become successful heroes or dreamers. They were inspired by various artists such as GOT7, Bangtan Boys (BTS), Super Junior and many more. The dedication of these Korean idols moved Z2H to do their best, especially in terms of performing in front of the supportive audience.  As one, they were the champions in Tagcom 2015, K-pop Euphoria 2015, and K-pop Summer Showdown 2015. They were the male representatives in K-pop Cover Dance Festival 2015 and the chosen opening act in K-pop Convention 2015.
