Eva Noblezada is making her stage return with a leading role in the adaptation of The Great Gatsby.
The Fil-Am actress will be playing Daisy Buchanan in the production by the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey, USA.
Acting opposite her as Jay Gatsby is Jeremy Jordan, a Tony and Drama Desk Award nominee who has starred in Newsies and Waitress.
The full cast will be announced at a later date.
The Great Gatsby is adapted from the novel of the same name by F. Scott Fitzgerald, which was published in 1925. It follows Nick Carraway’s interactions with the mysterious millionaire Gatsby and his obsession to reunite with his former lover, Buchanan. It is considered a contender for the title of the Great American Novel.
The musical’s book is by Kait Kerrigan, while the original score is by Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen.
Marc Bruni will direct and Dominique Kelley will provide choreography. Music supervision, arrangements, and orchestrations are by Howland and musical direction is by Daniel Edmonds.
The production will be staged from October 12 to November 12, 2023. Tickets will be available for sale starting August 14, 2023.

Noblezada made her Broadway debut as Kim in a revival of Miss Saigon. In 2017, she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical for her portrayal.
She also originated the lead role of Eurydice in Hadestown, leading to her second nomination for Best Actress at the 2019 Tony Awards.
Noblezada made her film debut in 2020 with a leading role in Yellow Rose with Lea Salonga, who originated the role of Kim in Miss Saigon.
