In need of facemasks but your local drugstore has run out? Maison Métisse, a Filipino fashion line that creates ethical, sustainable, and handcrafted pieces, has created a video tutorial that teaches you how to make your own hand-sewn reusable facemasks at home!

This quick and easy-to-follow tutorial was created by Maison Métisse founder Adrienne Charuel who wanted to prove that face masks can easily be made using materials you can find at home. She also hopes that this initiative can help support the livelihood of local communities amid the month-long quarantine.
According to her video, all you need are fabrics from old bedsheets, pillowcases, or shirts, and elastics from old headbands, shoelaces, or shorts. She then showed video clips and pictures to help guide you through the process of creating your DIY mask.
Watch and learn below!
Note: reusable cloth masks are not medically proven to protect you against respiratory viruses, but may be used as a last resort until surgical masks are made available.
