Ellen DeGeneres is launching her own shoe collection!
But don’t expect frilly styles, which is far from the daytime TV host and comedian’s personality. The ED Ellen DeGeneres is said to prioritize comfort over high fashion, created in partnership with the Camuto Group. The women’s collection will feature functional styles such as trainers, sandals, and slip-ons.
The line will be launched on Thursday, March 23, on the home shopping TV channel QVC. Rachel Ungaro, QVC’s Vice President for merchandising, said:
“The ED Ellen DeGeneres footwear collection features a mix of casual, fun and athletic styles that reflect Ellen’s own spirited personality.”
As it is unlike her to put out a spiffy press release, Ellen made her announcement via a hilarious statement that read:
“A lot of people say they’d love to spend an hour in my shoes. Now all you have to do is buy a pair, watch three straight hours of cat videos online and you’ll know exactly what it feels like.”
Totally sold on this.
