Myanmar is Getting Its Own Version of “Eat Bulaga!”

Locals of Myanmar will get a taste of Eat Bulaga! as the country’s longest-running noontime show will have a franchise in the Southeast Asian country.

The news was announced by the show on its 40th anniversary and on several posts on social media.

A Facebook post showed long-time hosts Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon with Myanmar’s Captain Aung Po. It was captioned, “Ngayon pati ang mga taga Myanmar ma-experience na ang isang libo’t isang tuwa!” (“Now those living in Myanmar can experience one thousand and one joys!”)

Meanwhile, a tweet went, “First Big Announcement: Magkakaroon na ng bagong Franchise ang Eat Bulaga!” (“First Big Announcement: There will be a new franchise of Eat Bulaga!“)

This is not the first time the show had an international franchise. An Indonesian version of the show aired for two years beginning 2012, and a reboot called New Eat Bulaga! Indonesia lasted for another two years.
