DVF Loves Roxy Limited Collection in Manila

Check out this latest ROXY video featuring their latest collection designed by world renowned fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg.

When in Manila, the beach is just a few hours drive away and when you do head for the road, gear up with the latest DVF Loves Roxy collection!  Roxy makes awesome surf videos (I’ve been stalking their YouTube for years to get surfing inspiration) and the swimwear the girls are wearing above are the latest in their racks – signature patterns of Diane Von Furstenberg.

Aren’t they just to-die for?  I believe that whatever we wear is our armor of confidence!  From there, confidence waterfalls into other the aspects of our lives.  This collection is indeed a match made in sea heaven!

Design icon Diane Von Furstenberg, known for her iconic wrap dress, collaborated with the well-loved surf apparel Roxy to come up with a feisty collection for free-spirited sophisticates.

Surfing has been gaining popularity among us ladies.  One by one, we find ourselves falling in love with the waves.  Stoked after every surf session, surfing is definitely one healthy addiction!  And for the non-surfing fans, this collection would still boost a lot of energy into your summer vacation!

The official launch of the collection was held at the seawall side garden of Sofitel Philippine Plaza.  The event was hosted by surfers Nicola Sebastian and Lui Tortuya.  They know a lot about surfing and they have a lot to share.  On that night, they introduced the DVF Loves Roxy collection with a fashion show.

Prints of florals, vintage patterns and refines silhouettes – aesthetics that are signature Diane Von Furstenberg.  She introduced her designs in the video playback saying that she designed this for women to become who they want to be.  “We wanted to empower women to go for it and ride the wave!”

The result of this passion – a collection that’s fun, fearless and definitive beauty of femininity celebrating the joys of being a woman, empowered by her desire to be who she wants to be.  It is indeed all the characteristics which make for an ideal Roxy and DVF woman.

This is a limited one-time-only collection.  The line includes boardshorts, rashguards and swimwear.

My take on this collection – I appreciate how I see fresh designs!  This deviates from the traditional take on surf style fashion.  It’s not even too “girly”  but instead, it features fun hints of nostalgia reminiscent of groovy retro patterns, made tasteful and sophosticated with elegant cuts.
