In compliance with the enhanced community quarantine over the entire Luzon to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the country, Duty Free Philippines has closed down all its stores until further notice.
This includes its airport shops and online store.
“This decision has been done with a focus on the safety and well-being of our customers, employees, and the local community, which is our top priority during these unprecedented times,” DFPC Chief Operating Officer Vicente Angala said in a statement released Wednesday, March 18.
He added that they will “assess the situation accordingly on the appropriate time” to reopen.
The enhanced community quarantine has restricted travel to and from the Philippines, with all domestic and international flights being suspended until mid-April 2020. Several local governments have also closed off their borders for travelers.

As of writing, there are 202 confirmed cases for COVID-19 in the country, including 17 mortalities.
