(This Beloved Anime is Coming to Netflix and All We Can Say is… ‘Tapusin! Tapusin!’)

Netflix takes the world of the dragon-hunting action-adventure game and introduces new characters into it. The anime opens over a hundred years after the last Dragon attack – that is until the Dragon suddenly reappears and attacks a small village.

Ethan, a villager, becomes the Arisen in attempting to protect his family. He then sets off on his quest to kill the Dragon with the Pawn, a being that exists solely to hunt the Dragon, by his side. On his quest, Ethan will encounter various monsters based on the 7 deadly sins.

Netflix’s official synopsis reads:

Ethan sets out to vanquish the Dragon that took his heart, but with every demon he battles, the more he loses his humanity.

Dragon’s Dogma was adapted by Japanese animation studio Sublimation. The series will have a mix of CG animation and traditional 2D animation.
