According to an article published by Nikkei Asian Review, the discount chain is eyeing to increase its overseas stores to 200 from the existing 41 with plans to tap the Philippine market.

This comes as big news to us Filipinos because Don Quijote has become known for being the one-stop-shop for inexpensive tax-free souvenirs, grocery items, and knick-knacks from Japan.

The store has also announced that they want to expand to Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Malaysia.

Currently, Don Quijote has made foreign expansions to Singapore, Thailand, and Hawaii.
