Vocalist Ben Gibbard went live on Death Cab For Cutie’s official Facebook account today at 8 AM Philippine time to surprise fans with an acoustic set of popular songs, starting with a melancholic rendition of The Postal Service’s “We Will Become Silhouettes” — a song that is most relatable at this time.

He also sang the band’s songs “A Lack of Color,” “Title Track,” “Northern Lights,” “Crooked Teeth,” “Cath…”, and “Grapevine Fires,” a cover of Radiohead’s “Fake Plastic Trees,” a Postal Service song “The District Sleeps Alone Tonight,” and his collab with Jay Farrar “California Zephyr.”

Watch his video below and stay tuned for more live shows in the next few days!

Many other musicians and artists have also announced their own live shows to serenade their fans all over the world and provide comfort to them during this pandemic. These include John Legend and Chris Martin of Coldplay.
