Dacre Montgomery Shares News About New Power Rangers Film

Before Dacre Montgomery starred in Stranger Things as Billy Hargrove, he played the Red Ranger in the 2017 Power Rangers film. The film itself didn’t fare well with general audiences and currently has a Rotten Tomatoes score of 50%. However, with his name on the rise, people have picked up on the film again and have gotten curious about his involvement with the new Power Rangers reboot.

A fan asked Montgomery if there was going to be more Power Rangers films in the future in a Reddit AMA and he answered that yes, there will be but also that no, he isn’t going to return as the Red Ranger. He said, “I think there is a movie in the works but it’s not with me and the cast. So yes, but not with us.”

Montgomery starred in Power Rangers alongside Naomi Scott, RJ Cyler, Ludi Lin, and Becky G. It was reported last year that a new Power Rangers movie was in the works, but aside from Montgomery clearing up his involvement with the project, there have been no further announcements so far.

In the meantime, you can catch Darce Montgomery reprise his role as Billy Hargrove in the Stranger Things season 3!
