Monkey Eagle Brewery is a world-class brand making craft beer in Tagaytay. They use the best German-made brewing equipment to create crowd favorites such as the Saison, their signature ale designed to mimic the original farmhouse ales of Belgium. The weather may be gloomy but try the Summer Slice, a Kölsch-style beer brewed with fresh watermelon.

Alamat

Alamat pays homage to Philippine cryptozoology, folklore, and mythology through its Mythical Beers. Check out the Balete Portal Ale, Kapre Smokey IPA, Mambabarang Karimlan IPA, Undin Matcha Ale, Bangungot Oak-Aged Stout, and the Lam-Ang IPA. The Manaul Adobo Stout is inspired by the classic dish, with flavors of peppercorn, laurel leaves, and chicken.

Baguio Craft Brewery started its operations in a garage, driven by a passion for craft beer and a love for creating something extraordinarily delicious. Today, it is one of the most popular breweries, with unique offerings such as the Lagud or Strawberry Beer and the seasonal Mango Jango or Mango Beer.

Katipunan Craft Ales

Katipunan Craft Ales is the brainchild of four high school best friends who had a hobby for creating homemade beer. This evolved into a semi-obsession with brewing the perfect batch. After dozens of attempts, they came up with the Indio Pale Ale. This  flagship brew has hints of crisp citrus and roasted caramel with a slight bitter kick.

Amigos de la Playa is Boracay’s first brewery, but you don’t need to go to the island to get some of their brews (trust us, you’ll want some). They’ve made some veryyyy interesting beers, like the Ooey Gooey, an Imperial Milk Stout with Apéritif Manila’s Ooey Gooey Chocolate Chip Cookies, lactose (milk sugar), and Grade A Madagascar bourbon vanilla beans; I’m In Love With That Coco, an Imperial Milk Stout brewed with toasted coconut, lactose (milk sugar), and Grade A Madagascar vanilla beans; and the Why Not?, another Imperial Milk Stout with cacao nibs, lactose, vanilla beans, and three kilos of Choc Nut.

Engkanto Brewery describes itself as a “window into a more courageous, more passionate, more creative life.” They do that with their line of beers, which includes their Live It Up Lager, High Five Honey Ale, Mango Nation Hazy IPA, and Green Lava Double IPA. There’s something for everyone as the lineup covers a wide range of flavors, from crisp and refreshing to floral and sweet, juicy and tropical, and bold and zesty.

Crazy Carabao

The idea to start Crazy Carabao started with a book and a trip to Las Vegas to watch Manny Pacquiao fight Dela Hoya. As they say, the rest is history. Today, Crazy Carabao supplies drinkers with great craft beer. They have beer for every palate, from the lightly toasted malt flavors of the Pilsner to the subtle hints of citrus and clove in the Wheat Beer, and the firm bitterness and bold taste of the Pale Ale.

Nipa Brew

Nipa Brew started homebrewing until they built their microbrewery in 2014. Their first product is the Tropic Haze, which they still serve to this day. Tropic Haze is a hazy wheat ale with tropical fruit notes. Those looking for other flavors can try Take Me To Your Leader, a malty scotch heavy ale with an oaky vanilla finish; Drop Zone, an India brown ale with bitter, dark chocolate notes; and the Midnight Blur, a light porter with cacao and coffee notes.

Elias Wicked Ales and Spirits

Elias Wicked Ales and Spirits is a proud microbrewery with non-traditional beer styles. Try their Darker Vader Stout, a classic American Stout with the combined flavors of chocolate, caramel, and coffee; Lost in Japan, a white ale best paired with Japanese dishes; and the Hop Boi IPA, made with 6 varieties of American hops for flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, and citrus.

Fat Pauly’s Hand-Crafted Ales & Lagers

Fat Paulys Hand crafted Ales Lagers

Fat Pauly’s Hand-crafted Ales & Lagers is a proud local brand that makes fresh home-brewed beers. They use both the finest imported brew grade malt and some local indigenous ingredients such as Timoga Spring waters, wild putyukan honey, mangrove barks, wild tuba, local lime, and fruits. Try their Diwata White Wheat Ale with Lime & Peppercorns for something spicy, savory, and refreshing.

Jade’s Temple Microbrewery is known for its unique beers crafted with all-natural ingredients, no enhancers, and All Malt. Just how unique? They have flavors like Toasted Mallow, Mango, and Salted Caramel. Last Christmas, they created a special lineup made up of Pumpkin Spice Beer, Peppermint Mocha Beer, and Apple Cinnamon Beer. But they’re not all about unusual flavors. They also have classics like lager.

The Perfect Pint

The Perfect Pint: Craft Beer + Fine Food was established in 2014 to give Filipinos a top-notch experience in terms of craft beer drinking and dining. Its founders, a group of brothers, worked with Chef Gene Gonzalez to create the first craft beer and food pairing in the Philippines. Today, all their craft beers are exclusively crafted in-house and brewed by their Master Brewers. Try the grapefruit flavor of the School of Hard Knocks IPA, chocolate and espresso notes of the Black Mamba Stout, and the citrusy feel of the Street Smart Pale Ale.

Crows Craft Brewing & Distilling Co.

Crows Craft Brewing & Distilling Co. prides itself on creating drinks that are #NotForEveryone. Their ales are made from only the four basic ingredients: malt, hops, yeast, and water, so you know you’re getting a quality drink. Its flagship brew is the De Puta Madre, double-IPA is extremely hoppified in both taste and aroma. Crows warns, “This is NOT for everyone, this is brewed by a HopHead for HopHeads.” The De Puta Madre’s younger brother is the Mala Hierba, which celebrates the hop without having to overwhelm. If you want an entry-level craft beer, try their Crows Pale Ale.
