Cookie Shot Glasses: 5 Ways to Enjoy These Cookie Bar Manila Goodies

I don’t know about you, but I have been dreaming of cookie shot glasses ever since I first saw them on Google.

In case you aren’t as much of a sweets fanatic as I am and haven’t heard about these amazing inventions yet, Dominique Ansel – the mastermind behind the Cronut – recently came up with chocolate chip cookies… shaped in the forms of shot glasses. Yes, you read that right. Since I love sweets and I love shots, these things sounded like heaven on earth to me.

This might sound crazy (but that’s fine since my friends are convinced that I am, anyway), but I waited and waited and waited for these cookie shot glasses to arrive in the Philippines. See, I’m not a baker; I’m an eater. So I figured my best bet would be to just comb through my social media and wait for them to pop out. Luckily for me, they did sooner rather than later.

Fellow sweets fanatics, rejoice and thank Cookie Bar Manila for its existence!!!

Cookie Bar Manila is a home-based cookie shop located in Kapitolyo, Pasig just along East Capitol Drive (right next to Open Kitchen). It really isn’t that hard to find. Plus, the owner and baker, Ivorie Acosta, is very friendly and more than willing to help you find your way in case you get lost. 🙂

This lovely cookie shop is who I have to thank for making my cookie shot dreams come true!

Thank you!!!!

A box of 8 cookie shot glasses only costs Php320 at Cookie Bar Manila and they are well worth the price coz a single one is already enough to make your tummy happy. 🙂

Now, I know someone who asked me the following question: “I’m mildly lactose intolerant, though, so what should I put in them?” And that’s where this list was born…

The 5 Best Ways to Enjoy Cookie Shot Glasses

1. On Their Own

Think about the best chocolate chip cookies you’ve ever tasted and just add a bit more sweetness to it. That’s basically what these shots taste like. As such, it doesn’t even matter whether you put anything in them or not. They will still taste heavenly. Plus, they’ve got a lining of chocolate in them anyway; so, really… Who needs milk at all?

2. With Milk

Since Dominique Ansel invented cookie shot glasses with milk in mind to begin with, it would make sense to try drinking them with milk.

To be honest, I found this version pretty weird, though. I mean… why would anyone wanna take shots of milk? Also, once you start nibbling on the cookie, you can no longer refill the milk… So, what we ended up doing was take a shot of milk from the cookie shot glass, eat the cookie and then fill up another proper glass of milk to enjoy the cookies with. They taste great that way!

3. With Alcohol

As mentioned earlier, I love shots. And although made of yummy cookie goodness, these cookies are still shots. Fortunately, Kahlua and chocolate chip cookies go well together. So do Bailey’s and chocolate chip cookies. And since Kahlua and Bailey’s are alcoholic beverages, there really is no need to want to keep refilling the cookie. One or two shots and you can start nibbling on the cookie shot with extreme delight! Yum yum yum!

4. With Ice Cream

Probably not the brightest idea since the ice cream eventually melted and started leaking from the cookie shots, but it was definitely the most fun one for my daughter to tried out. She loved getting tiny scoops of ice cream, placing it into her cookie and licking it out of the shot glass. Adults can be more non-messy and use teaspoons, of course. :p

5. With Chocolate

I decided to surprise one of my good friends with some of these cookie shots, but since we had already eaten half of the box at home (lol), I tried to come up with a way to make the rest of the shots more presentable sans the box. And here’s what I came up with:

Booyah! Feel free to use other types of sweets to fill up your cookie shots with, too – gummy bears, Nerds, you name it! 🙂

Whether you are lactose intolerant or not, you might want to change things up a little bit every now and then when it comes to cookie shot glasses anyway. So, just have fun with it and enjoy taking Instagram photos with them!

Since they are super in demand at Cookie Bar Manila, though, make sure you place your order 4 days in advance. They are quite hard to make, too, so they only make a limited quantity of them everyday. The good news is that Cookie Bar Manila has all sorts of different baked goodies to offer, so make sure you check out what else they have, as well!
