Christina Aguilera Pays a Touching Tribute to Whitney Houston at the AMAs!

Christina Aguilera Whitney Houston

Christina Aguilera may not be making that much original music, but in case you’ve forgotten how talented she is, she performed a wonderful tribute to Whitney Houston at the American Music Awards.

Watch the performance below:

Aguilera sang a medley of Houston’s greatest hits, including “I Will Always Love You,” “I Have Nothing,” “Run to You,” and “I’m Every Woman.”

The tribute is just in time for Houston’s film The Bodyguard‘s 25th anniversary. During Aguilera’s performance, images from the film played in the background.

Aguilera dominated the pop scene with her hits “Reflection,” “Genie in a Bottle,” and “What a Girl Wants.” This was followed by a string of hits in the 2000’s when she released “Come On Over Baby,” “Lady Marmalade,” “Dirrty,” and “Beautiful.” Her musical career slowed in the 2010’s with her The Voice gig, but she said that she will work on new material after her stint on The Voice.

Houston passed away in 2012. She is described by the Guinness World Records as the most awarded female act of all-time.
