Are you ready for another visual experience?
When in Manila, its impossible to resist chocolate creations such as Dipped Fresh US Strawberries :
…delectable chocolate & peppermint cakes :
…cake blobs & rum cake…
…and a whole lot more!
Yum!
This one of a kind chocolate haven is also called Chocolate Fire, located in the heart of Makati Central Business District at PDCP Bank , cor Levsite Street & Rufino St, Salcedo Village Makati City.
Maybe we could start with the end in mind. You gotta wonder what got these kids all thumbs up & smiling.
It must be the cozy ambiance inside that has been frequented by people from all walks of life, from expats, to yuppies and to kids.
Check out that chocolate counter! Chocolate Fire is originally from Australia and has put up its first offshore branch here in the Philippines in 2010.
Since then it has generated a following of chocolate lovers who go here for the exquisite selection of Belgian chocolates and sumptuous dishes.
Lets take one of their bestsellers, the Mortadella Sandwhich.
It uses the freshest vegetables. All meat & dairy used in their dishes come Australia. And you know how meat & dairy products are there – just AMAZING.
The same goes with the Fire Dog which goes with an assortment of dips to match your taste.
From the looks of it, this was their favorite so far!
And the Bolognese was just divine. It’s the meat & the ingredients that makes it different from other other Bolognese I’ve tasted.
The best match to these fresh selection of savoury dishes were the milkshakes which had just the right amount of sweetness to it.
These dishes are great for lunch or snacks anytime you feel like chomping on some great food.
But the fun has just begun for us! That’s when this came : Chocolate Dipped dried fruits & Pringles! I personally loved this because of how healthy it looked and the mixture of fruit & chocolate in the mouth was simply refreshing. Of course the kids loved the dipped Pringles.
This was the highlight though for us moms. An assortment of Chocolate Barks (its called bark because they really look like tree barks – which is really a sheet of chocolate covered with nuts & other ingredients) … not to mention the truffles.
These Belgian chocolates come with the finest ingredients from around the world, and are all hand-made, with no added chemicals, preservatives or additives.
There were Hazelnut, Cranberry, Coconut, Honeycomb & Almond Barks along with the truffles and the Irish Cream (which is a must-try because of how soft it is when you bite into it – I never knew chocolate with liquor could taste that good).
These are just a few of the finest chocolate Chocolate Fire has to offer. There is a vast array of styles (over 70 on display each day)!
This kind of chocolate would be perfect with champagne which they also offer. That would be a nice way to spend an afternoon or evening over a good chat with your friends.
Eat. Love. Smile – is definitely a way to describe dining in here.
And just in case you’re not going anywhere out of the city this Easter, Chocolate Fire is opening its gates to the magic of Easter on April 8, 2012 in a Chocolate High Tea Buffet 2-6pm.
You’ll get chocolate fountains, fruits, solids, barks, truffles, soft centers, luster’s, crackles, ckaes & chocolate eggs with a coffe, tea or iced tea only for P1,299 or P599 for kids. Plus unlimited Aussie bubbly for P500+.
