Neri Naig couldn’t help but laugh off a recent rumor she heard about her husband Chito Miranda cheating on her with a close friend.
On Instagram, Neri shared a screenshot of a fan informing her that they allegedly saw the Parokya ni Edgar frontman “making out” with Bubbles Paraiso during a Halloween Party. She then wrote a lengthy post expressing just how much she trusts her husband.
“Tawang tawa talaga ako dito (I find this so amusing)!” she began on her caption. “Kasalanan ba nila Angel [Locsin] at Bubbles na magaganda at sexy sila? Bawal na magkaroon ng best friend na lalaki? Pagbabawalan ko na ba? (Is it Angel and Bubbles’ fault that they’re beautiful and sexy? Is it wrong to be best friends with the opposite sex? Should I forbid it?)”
Neri explains how she never once put malice into the friendship of Chito with Bubbles and Angel and clarified that she would never prohibit him from enjoying his time with friends. “Kung alam lang din ng mga tao kung paano nila asarin si Chito! Pero seriously, magkaibigan po talaga sila at never kong pinagbawalan si Chito maki-hang out sa kanila o kahit kaninong tao mapababae man o lalaki, ok lang sa akin,” she said.
(“If only people knew how they make fun of Chito! But seriously, they are all just friends and I will never forbid Chito from hanging out with them or with whoever, whether male or female. It’s okay with me.”)

She continued, “Why? Bakit ko kailangan siyang paghigpitan? Ang tao kung gusto nyang magloko, magloloko yan kahit ano pang bantay ang gagawin mo. Saka secured ako sa pagmamahal ng asawa ko. Kung dati ngang bf/gf palang kami, NEVER ko siyang pinagbawalan, mas lalo ngayong mag asawa na kami. Saka secured din ako sa sarili ko.”
(“Why? Why do I need to restrain him? If a person wants to cheat, they will cheat no matter how much you control them. And I’m secured with the love of my husband. If I never held him back when we were still boyfriend and girlfriend, then I most definitely wouldn’t now that we’re married. I am secured with myself.”)

Both Bubbles and Angel laughed off the rumor in the comments section of Neri’s post, explaining that Chito was actually kissing Bubbles’ older brother, Paolo Paraiso, during the party.
“Sabi na nga ba eh (I knew it)!” Chito replied in jest to Angel’s comment. “Kasi sa pagkaka-alala ko wala namang bigote si Bubbs eh. Langyang tubig yan…lakas ng amats. (Because as I recalled, Bubbles had no facial hair. Damn that water…it hit me too hard.)”
