CERVIVOR CAMPUS TOUR

 a4-poster-s

November 14, 2016, De La Salle University’s Henry Sy Grounds, 9 am to 5 pm. This is an event targeted to female college students in order to raise awareness and promote the value of early prevention among young Filipino women starting with De La Salle University – Manila. Everything in our event is backed up with research that states that most college women given our sample size have many misconceptions on cervical cancer as well as the causes and its preventive methods. Philippine Cancer Society wishes to expand their reach to other universities and colleges in Metro Manila.

There will be education talk by a doctor from Merck Sharp and Dohme, and inspirational talk by a cervical cancer patient and her family who is assisted by the Philippine Cancer Society under its Patient Navigation Program for her chemotherapy.

In line with reaching out to younger target audience, the “Cervivor Campus Tour” is an interactive and fun informative event with simple carnival-type games, which aimed to address the misconceptions surrounding the disease.

Also, Philippine Cancer Society will be providing doctors to perform cervical cancer screening via pap smear in the school clinic, as well as provide the option of registering for the cervical cancer vaccination program of De La Salle University’s Medical Services Office throughout the event.

Students, alumni, and employees who want to make a positive health decision can pre-register for the pap smear and vaccination in the link below:
