New Cavite-Manila Ferry Service Will Offer Free Rides Until January

The newly launched Cavite-Manila Ferry Service cuts down travel time drastically, runs from different points in Manila, and the best part? It’s free for about a month.

The Department of Transportation recently announced that a new ferry service will be operating from the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) to Cavite and from Liwasang Bonifacio to Cavite. It is available to the public starting December 9, Monday.

Liwasang Bonifacio Terminal in Lawton Avenue to Cavite City Port Terminal is expected to take 40-45 minutes while CCP to Cavite City Port Terminal is estimated to be around 15 minutes.

The Liwasang Bonifacio-Cavite route, which will be serviced by MV Island Sabtang, will be free until January 31. Afterward, fares will be ₱160 for regular passengers, ₱128 for students, ₱114 for senior citizens and persons with disabilities, ₱80 for children aged four to 11-years-old, and free for children up to three-years-old.

MV Island Sabtang can carry 57 passengers.

The CCP-Cavite route, serviced by MB Seaborne Mercury, will be free until January 9. The fees following that are ₱200 for regular passengers, ₱160 for students, ₱143 for senior citizens, and ₱125 for children aged four to 11-years-old.

MB Seaborne Mercury can carry 27 passengers.
