Caught on Camera: Beggar Pretends to be Disabled

When in Manila, we often see the most striking indications of poverty and social injustice on a daily basis. This includes the children, the elderly, and the PWDs begging for alms on our way to work or school. Mendicancy only highlights even bigger problems faced by the country, including lack of job opportunities, exploitation of others, and even possibly the involvement of syndicates.

While the issue on giving alms to them is still a contestable issue, extreme situations like a man pretending to have only one leg while begging for alms got lots of reactions from people who saw the video originally posted by Deep X. D. in his Facebook account. As of posting, it how has almost 1.5 million views.
