If you have been asking, “Where on earth is Carmen Sandiego?” then the answer can soon be she’s working on her own animated series.
According to Gizmodo, Carmen Sandiego just found a new home with Netflix. The video streaming giant will be behind the production of the animated series.
Other details have also been revealed. Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) will have the lead role. On the other hand, Finn Wolfhard (Mike on Stranger Things), will lend his voice to the Player. In the old version of the animated show, the Player is the unseen live-action character that bookended episodes as if they were playing out the game on their computers. The Player was also said to “Carmen’s chief accomplice and friend.”
The show is slated for release in 2019.
