Nutty Pear Dessert’s Mille Crepe
24 layers of crepe cake goodness!
They’re called mille crepes, and nobody does them quite like Nutty Pear Desserts! They’re carefully made from layer upon layer (20-24 to be exact) of paper-thin crepes and luscious pastry creme, all made from only the finest ingredients. It’s a far cry from your plain crepe dessert, but wouldn’t fall under cake category either, making it a unique hybrid of sorts that’s definitely worth a try.
Mille Crepes taste nothing like any dessert I’ve ever had; its texture is far more distinct than your usual chiffon/sponge cake variety—not crumbly, not too chewy, almost velvety-smooth. If that doesn’t sound decadent, I don’t know what does

Nutty Pear Desserts is the brainchild of Nadia Torcita, who brought the idea to the Philippines after trying out something similar in L.A. All their mille crepe cakes are freshly made upon order, which is why every slice is delectably moist and tastes its best. Because each cake is lovingly hand-made, a lead of three days is required prior to pick-up and delivery.
Available flavors include Milky Chocolate, Green Tea, Mango, and Tiramisu (which has alcohol in it), with their current best-sellers being their Dark Chocolate and Classic Vanilla flavor.
9″ Tiramisu Mille Crepe (PHP 1,500.00)
We got to try the Tiramisu flavor, which I personally think is a great option for those who aren’t into sugary-sweet desserts. The sweetness, lent only by the light pastry cream, is significantly pared down to give way to the deep flavours of espresso and dark rum, making the latter more pronounced with every bite. This is further emphasized by a liberal sprinking of cocoa powder with each crepe layer.
