Buri Resort and Spa

 

Only after a short span of 2 months,  we were back again in Puerto Galera to rediscover more of its glory. This time, we didn’t travel to cover any special event..  This week was devoted ONLY for relaxation at the Buri Resort and Spa!

 

For those of you who think that Puerto Galera‘s best resorts can only be found at the White Beach,  then wait until you see the next set of photos!

If you’re a couple looking for a not-so-far, quiet, romantic getaway place for your honeymoon, anniversary etc, then we recommend you spend at least 4 nights at Buri Resort and Spa! 

 

LOCATION –  since it’s only in Puerto Galera,  you won’t be needing to travel by plane nor spend days on a ship just to spend a weekend at the beach. It’ll only take you around less than 5 hrs from Manila to reach Buri Resort and Spa. 

 

HOW TO GET THERE:

From Batangas Pier,  take a boat bound to Muelle (fare costs around 310/pax one way) then expect a boatman from Buri Resort and Spa will pick you up at the dock where it’ll take you another 10mins to reach the resort. You have to coordinate with the staff so they can arrange it for you of course!

Upon arrival, expect a warm welcome by their staff and also their resort Manager Helen! We were very impressed on how she handled things in the resort. She was very hands-on with things and made sure all our requests were attended to. She’s very approachable and always visible around the resort!

 

Buri Resort and Spa currently offers 10 villas (garden,  family and pool villas) that are strategically placed around the resort to provide guests with much needed privacy,  space and a great view of the sea! For this weekend,  we tried out their pool villa for we wanted to have a room with our own private pool.

To reach your villa,  prepare to climb the stairs for a few minutes.  At  first,  I must say that I came unprepared for I brought my bagfull of camera gears with me. We didn’t mind the short uphill hike for we knew we needed a bit of exercise! hihihi

The Pool Villas
Their Pool Villas are currently their biggest ones with 2 floors which are fully air-conditioned. The topmost room has 2 beds,  toilet and bath and mini ref while the room on the 1st floor serves as the master’s bedroom with toilet and bath, queen sized bed,  32″ lcd tv,  spacious veranda and a small pool which can fit 2 adults.

Amenities

The Infinity Pools
It’s just impossible for you to miss seeing these captivating infinity pools when you check in at Buri Resort and Spa! It’s actually the first thing you’ll notice when you  arrive and it’ll surely make you wanna jump in immediately! 

Frank and I spent one of our most memorable dips here at Buri Resort and Spa. The water wasn’t too cold and had just the right amount of chlorine.  Buri Resort and Spa may not have a big beach line but having these 2 pools around will make you forget about the beach!  It was really “that” pleasant!

KAYAKING 
It’s actually our first ever time to try kayaking and we surely enjoyed it!  Luckily, nobody was using it that day so we spent a few hours rowing and exploring the area. For other water activities such as snorkeling and scuba diving,  you may ask the staff or their manager Helen for the rates!  When in Puerto Galera,  it’s a must to try at least 1 water sport!

 

 

SPA
We were able  to visit their spa although failed to experience it for I think we spent too much time swimming! lols Anyway,  we’ll surely try it out next time! Their Spa services are available until 6pm.
