Former child star Bugoy CariƱo is now engaged to volleyball player EJ Laure!
Bugoy proposed to his beau on his 21st birthday after expressing his love and adoration for her onstage in front of friends and family.

“Halos pitong taon na tayong magkasama pero hindi mo pinaramdam sa akin na hindi mo ko mahal. Araw-araw minamahal mo ako. Araw araw pinagtatyagaan mo ako. Araw-araw mahaba ang pasensiya mo sa akin,” he is heard saying in the Tiktok video below.
“Gusto ko lang sabihin at pagsigawan sa lahat ng mga kaibigan ko na nandito, kaya napaka-importante niyo sa akin, na itong babaeng ‘to [EJ], papakasalan ko,” he added. “Itong babaeng ‘to, mamahalin ko hanggang dulo.”
Bugoy then went down on one knee and popped the question. “Ennajie Cruz Laure, mahal na mahal kita. Will you marry me?”
As EJ answered “Yes,” the crowd cheered.

It was in 2022 when Bugoy revealed to the public that he has a child with EJ, four years since the athlete was rumored to be pregnant after missing the entire UAAP Season 80 in 2018.
Bugoy is known best as the grand winner of “Star Circle Kid Quest.” He was also part of the youth-oriented comedy show “Goin’ Bulilit.” He then became part of the all-male group Hashtags in “It’s Showtime.” Meanwhile, EJ was the former team captain of the University of Santo Tomas Golden Tigresses.
