Brazo de Mercedes is a popular dessert roll in the Philippines. The soft, pillowy meringue roll comes with a sweet custard filling. Since it is light and is usually not too sweet, eating an entire roll is not really challenging. But, if you want to make sure you’re not overconsuming on calories and sugar, a cupcake version can do the trick.
On Instagram, @sweetlovecakesandpastries sells Brazo cupcakes. And they look darn delicious.
Aside from the typical custard filling, their Brazo cupcakes also come in chocolate, orange, and coffee.
These interesting flavors make me want them more.
Aside from Brazo cupcakes, the store also has other pastries, cookie box samples, and cakes. They also sell Kroonies, which are brownie bites that come in handy packaging.
The Brazo cupcakes are sold at PHP 300 a dozen. Sounds like a sweet deal for a bite of a cloud, tbh.
