Everyone Is Comparing This Luxury Brand’s Shoe Design To Instant Noodles

Italian high fashion house Bottega Veneta has been known for setting trends when it comes to footwear. From square-toed mules to quilted shoes, Bottega Veneta’s creations have consistently proven themselves bestsellers.

So when they unveiled their newest pair of heels people were taken aback at its close resemblance to a pack of uncooked instant ramen.

According to HypeBae, the shoes can be attributed to creative director Daniel Lee who designed the entire Pre-Fall 2020 collection. The macramé style footwear comes in 2 forms: open-toed mule or clompy open-backed bootie.

Though no prices for the new Fall collection have been released yet, we can expect these shoes to go for about Php 37,000 — which is the average price of footwear from the Italian brand.

Neither Lee nor the brand have responded to the memes comparing the footwear instant ramen. However, Lee previously spoke of the brand as one “that talks about sophisticated elegance. It’s almost about being quiet.

A silence in all the noise. A kind of stillness.”
