Blood Ransom Philippine Premiere: Anne Curtis Goes International
Anne Curtis‘ star truly shines bright like a diamond, now more so as Blood Ransom, her first international indie film directed by Fil-Am filmmaker Francis dela Torre, debuted in the Philippines yesterday!
This love story-suspense-thriller movie is the perfect Halloween film to watch!

With just the right amount of scariness and edginess, the story will keep your eyes locked to the screen during the entire film. Anne Curtis definitely fronts her best act here! She even exudes a Hollywood-ish appeal. It’s a side of Anne Curtis you haven’t seen before.
During the premiere night, Anne’s friends and loved ones gathered to show support for the actress, including her father, her sister Jasmine, her sister’s boyfriend Sam Concepcion, her It’s Showtime family, her long-time flame Erwan Heusaff, Erwan’s sister Solenn and Isabel Daza. Her fans were also present, screaming their love and cheering for this new feat of their idol.
The film centers around Crystal, a young woman who was sought for confinement during her lonely days after her parent’s demise, only to find herself in the solace of vampires. She then meets Jeremiah, played by Alexander Dreymon, and they form a love that will attest to the phrase, “us against the world.”
Their relationship may be bold, bad and forbidden, but Crystal and Jeremiah stand together and face the danger that lies ahead. Will their love conquer all the odds? Watch Blood Ransom to find out.

- Her First On-Screen French Kiss
Anne admitted that this scene took several takes before she got it right. Apparently, she kept doing her ordinary film kiss, but Dela Torre kept on cutting the take.
With the help of Dreymon, she figured out that they needed a French kiss to perfect the act. This scene truly became more convincing and passionate and intense and daring, as could be felt by the viewers at the premiere.
- Her Fearless Throat-Cutting
A merciless Crystal is presented, for the sake of seeking the right thing to stop the miserable fate she and her lover is about to face.
- The Intense Killing Scene
A true bloodbath, Crystal is covered in crimson, scary as she takes on her transformation. Blood splutters everywhere like paint and bodies lie on the floor. With her red eyes and fangs, she eventually turns into somebody she fears to become.
