Vanessa Hudgens had quite the high-profile gig as co-host of the recently concluded Billboard Music Awards 2017 alongside rapper Ludacris. And while the 28-year-old Powerless star stunned throughout the night with eight costume changes, V also got to show off her singing and rapping chops!
Lest anyone forget, the Disney alum has quite the musical background — aside from her Broadway debut as Gigi last year, she gained worldwide fame as Gabriella Montez in the High School Musical franchise, a tween hit in 2006. And though the HSM cast has since grown up from their sing-along beginnings, it looks like being surrounded by the who’s who of the music industry inspired Vanessa to break into song!
After being challenged by Ludacris, Vanessa delivered some rhyme skills as she rapped a Nicki Minaj song. That wasn’t the last impromptu performance for the night, as the actress sang a snippet of Celine Dion’s “The Power of Love”, to applause from the audience.
