Treat your partner to a 90-minute Marrakech sweetness or Filipino massage just for two, or spend time with your best friend and indulge in a rejuvenating facial, or treat a friend who is about to walk down the aisle with a facial and body massage to help her wind down before her big day.
We visited Le Spa while my husband and I were guests at the hotel. We really wanted to make the most of this time together to just relax and unwind and forget the busy days ahead of us. It was, for us, at least, a way to recharge and just come back to center.
Le Spa combines the signature Filipino hospitality and the elegant french touch in order to give their guests that ultimate spa experience. They have many treatments to choose from — from 30-minute facials, to slimming massage treatments to full-body massages that last up to 90 minutes, all guaranteed to leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated like no other.
We chose their famous Filipino Pride massage which was a 60-minute treatment that combined the techniques of Swedish, Shiatsu, Thai and Filipino reflexology. I also added a 30-minute facial to make the most out of our stay here.
In Le Spa, time seems to stand still. Before or after your treatment, you may choose to wind down in quiet and secluded corners while sipping on hot tea and thinking of nothing. You may also use their steam bath or sauna before you finally go for your massage treatment. For the time being, forget your watch and just enjoy this time in solitude.
The Le Spa suites are perfect for couples who just want to get away from it all. I have been to Sofitel quite a number of times but little did I know that there was this nice little outdoor area where you can relax in perfect and absolute solitude. When I saw this area, I immediately thought it was a perfect spot for a surprise dinner date or for that time when you want to pop the big question! Apparently, I wasn’t the first to think of this as many a proposal have been successfully done here!
Our suite opened up to this hidden area where my husband and I enjoyed our filipino dessert called halo-halo and the view of the sunset. It really felt as though I were in a paradise that was far away from the busy streets of Manila and it was the perfect way for us to end the day. Had I known about this earlier, I would have asked for dinner to be prepared here. In Sofitel, the possibilities are endless! It gives me all the more reason to come back next time.
When we were ready for our treatment, we saw that the staff managed to make our suite even more romantic. Candles were lit all around, rose petals filled our tub and a bottle of sparkling wine was already set in a corner. It was then that I was convinced that Le Spa is indeed the best spa in Manila.
Our 90-minute treatment was so relaxing, we both managed to fall asleep during the process. It must have been because of the sweet oil scent or the relaxing music, or because we were in the hands of their expert masseuse or a combination of all that and more.
It was all in all, really an afternoon of rest for both of us. We both had our individual time alone in the sauna, we later on got to enjoy the sunset together, we drank a few glasses of wine and eventually we both fell asleep in the hands of our expert masseuse. It couldn’t get more relaxing than that.
Overall, we felt that our experience in Le Spa was worth more than what you pay for. You will notice that with a number of spa’s opening in the metro, quality is oftentimes compromised. In Le Spa, giving you the ultimate spa experience is their utmost priority. It just felt like the place was not just about giving a good massage treatment, but it was really about delivering the best spa experience by giving you all that you need and more. In Le Spa, they only use top of the line products, they have the perfect setting and ambiance, and of course, they have complete and professional spa facilities. You can’t get all that in spa’s that just pop up here and there.
So When in Manila and you just need some down time, book a treatment at Le Spa and you will soon find yourself relaxed, rejuvenated, and ready to once again, take on the world.
