Jaws are dropping everywhere over Barbie Imperial’s birthday photoshoot wherein she transformed into a golden goddess inspired by the Filipino mythical creature, Ibong Adarna.
The actress, who turned 24 on August 1, shared the pictures from her shoot with photographer Andrea Beldua on her Instagram page. In her feathery dress made by custom garment brand LSW, Barbie posed on a bed of fluffy clouds and, in other pictures, also wore a bejeweled headdress of golden wings and different crystals.

“Ibong Adarna Extravaganza,” the photographer said, describing the pictorial.
The Ibong Adarna is a magical bird from the 16th-century Filipino epic poem of the same name whose songs are said to cure mysterious illnesses.

Barbie celebrated her birthday at Okada Manila surrounded by family and her closest friends. In an interview with PUSH, Barbie shared that she wanted to plan a grand party this year to commemorate “life and growth at the same time” amid all the challenges she went through in the previous year.
“Birthday wish ko siguro more success, more blessings for myself, more projects, more self-love, and growth,” she told them.
