It finally happened. After dominating the world for nearly a decade, Avengers: Endgame is now the highest-grossing film of all time.

As of Sunday, Endgame earned $2.79 billion against Avatar‘s $2.789.7 billion.

To congratulate its success, Avatar director James Cameron paid tribute to the Marvel film on Twitter. A tweet showed Iron Man surrounded by woodsprite seeds from the film’s Tree of Souls, with the caption, “Oel Ngati Kameie,” an old Na’vi saying meaning “I see you.

The tweet added, “I see you, Marvel. Congratulations to Avengers: Endgame on becoming the new box-office king.”

Cameron did the same thing when Endgame beat Titanic. In a tweet, he said, “An iceberg sank the real Titanic. It took the Avengers to sink my Titanic.”

Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of Endgame, also posted a tweet for Cameron. They said, “You’re a monumental reason why we fell in love with film in the first place. Thank you for always inspiring us and opening the world’s eyes to what’s possible. We can’t wait to see where you take us next.”
