Aurora Province records first case of COVID-19

Aurora Province has recorded its first case of COVID-19 in the province. Aurora Gov. Gerardo Noveras confirmed this through the province’s social media page.

According to Noveras, the woman arrived from Pasay City last August 4 and proceeded to home quarantine. Last August 9, the woman was brought to the Aurora Memorial Hospital due to a stroke. The doctors asked the patient to take a swab test, which turned out to be positive.

Noveras said that the DOH, PHO, PNP, Municipal Health Office, and the Baler MDRRMO immediately conducted contact tracing after. With this, the Governor told the residents of Aurora to not panic and to continue following minimum health standards to continue to keep the province COVID-free.
