FILA brings the Brazilian Carnival in Manila for the Polo Cup 2013

Who would have thought that the Brazilian Carnival, known for its sheer over-the-top joyous celebration, will hit the Manila Polo Club? There’s only one brand who knows how to do it with pure authenticity, FILA!

The Enrique Zobel Field of the Manila Polo Club were filled with celebrities and guests for the much anticipated annual Fila Polo Cup. This year has set to be more colorful than even wih its theme, Brazilian Carnival! With the Low Goal started at 2 in the afternoon and the High Goal at 4, fans of this sporting event cheered for their team.

To keep the authenticity of the theme, Brazil-born model/actor and FILA endorser Fabio Ide hosted the event. The festivities started on cue at 6 in the evening with the Escola de Samba de Manila Dancers and the Maracuja Dancers dancing Samba to the beats of the drums. Other performers were Guarana and the Talentadong Pinoy Hall-of-Famer Astroboy.

Manila’s finest graced the annual Polo Cup hosted by Fila, including the other 3 FILA endorsers: Georgina Wilson, Borgy Manotoc and Tim Yap. Fashion personalities like designers Inno Sotto, Rajo Laurel and Charina Sarte and Philippine Tatler’s Anton San Diego, athletes Andrew Wolff and Chris Evringham.

The entertainment has been especially prepared to bring the Brazilian Carnival to its full and as authentic as possible. Guarana was tapped to bring authentic Bossa Nova and Samba music to accompany the dancers. This is as close as we can get to an Mardi Gras festival without even leaving the metro!

Another hands-down performance was Astroboy, a hall-of-famer in Talentadong Pinoy, with his fiery display of fierceness and fabulosity. He is largely self-taught, learning the art of hula-hoop in Paris, and honing his talent as part of the New York-based troupe, The Gyronauts.

Guests of the FILA Polo Cup 2013 were all amazed with the dancers and drummers that featured the Brazilian Carnival.

Astroboy wowed the audience with his fierce and fiery performance.
