Art, Responsible Pet Ownership Workshops and More at the Seatizen’s Festival

 

 

The Seatizen’s Festival on Sunday, September 15, at the Ninoy Aqiuno Parks and Wildlife Center in Quezon City will be holding a green race, Sunday Market + Art Shack, and a rock concert. The event will also be hosting number of workshops.

8AM: FREE Workshop on responsible by the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)

 

The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is a volunteer-based non-government organization whose goal is to prevent animal cruelty through education, animal sheltering and advocacy. PAWS believes that the creation of a more peaceful society starts with the widening of mankind’s circle of compassion which includes animals, thereby envisions a nation that respects animals, practices responsible pet ownership and protects wildlife. 30 slots available.

 

10AM: Zumba class with Kristie Enriquez (P200)

 

Kristie’s dance involvements through the years include ballet in grade school, cheerleading in high school, hiphop and jazz in college, and now Zumba! 30 slots available.

 

2PM: Basic nature and photography workshop with Charlie Fernandez (P200)

 

Charlie is charge of photography and graphics for online stores like chicify.com, titan22.com and more. He does a lot of travel and nature photography as a hobby. He has traveled to over 25 countries and 60 Philippine provinces. He also scuba dives, bird watches, and hikes mountains and caves. 20 slots available.

 

4PM: ArtSea Kids’ Workshop with Artists for Nature (P300 inclusive of materials)

 

The ArtSea Kids’ Art Workshop will teach basic art techniques using oil pastel. It will be conducted by Artists for Nature, an organization committed to promote environmental awareness and support conservation programs of various eco foundations through art. It is composed of artists driven by their desire to conserve Mother Nature to use art as a vehicle for environmental education and fundraiser for specific eco projects. 30 slots available. 

 

The Seatizen’s Festival is co-presented by bobble Water Bottle and Havaianas. Prizes will be given by Human Nature and Mr. Kengkoy Backpacks. Media partner is WheninManila.com.
