A cause of death hasn’t been released yet, as police launch an investigation. However, a report from TMZ said that a 911 call made on Monday morning was made by Angus’ mother, who suspected a “possible overdose.” She reported that her son did not have a pulse. Angus Cloud was pronounced dead upon the arrival of the Oakland Police and Fire Department.

Angus’ father passed away just two weeks prior, and his family shared that the actor “intensely struggled with this loss.” Sources close to the family reportedly shared that he was staying with his family as he worked through his grief.

“Miss u breh,” the Euphoria actor wrote on his Instagram two weeks ago, along with a photo of his dad.

Angus’ family released a statement to TMZ:

It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.

Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.

We hope the world remembers him for his humor, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.

Angus Cloud starred in the hit HBO series Euphoria alongside Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, and Sydney Sweeney. This was his first acting role. He played Fezco or Fez, a teenage drug dealer who was taking care of both his grandmother and young adoptive brother. Fez, who showed a natural warmth and kindness to his family and peers despite his profession, quickly became a well-loved character in the show.

In an article published in February 2022, a GQ review of Euphoria called Fezco “the beating heart of season two.”

Euphoria has two seasons out and has reportedly not yet started shooting season three.
