Angelica Panganiban shared some love advice to her fans on her recent YouTube vlog series “Ask Angelica” where she was asked for her opinion on a number of situations, such as if a loss in a “spark” is enough of a reason to end a relationship.

Answering candidly, Angelica said that instead of relying on a “spark,” we should focus on our own personal happiness.
She said that this is what she wants to apply to her future relationships and even to her current relationships with family and friends. “Yung happiness ng isang tao, hindi mo ‘yun responsibilidad. Hindi mo responsibilidad na pasayahin ang partner mo. Siya yung may responsibility sa own happiness niya. At dapat, responsible ka rin with your own happiness.”
(“The happiness of another person is not your responsibility. It is not your responsibility to make your partner happy. That person is responsible for their own happiness. And you should be responsible too for your own happiness.”)
“Kapag dalawang tao kayong masaya, ‘pag cinombine niyo ‘yun, magiging sobrang saya kayo. Magiging okay ang lahat, kahit malayo pa kayo sa isa’t isa,” she added.
(“If both of you are happy, if you combine both your happiness, your happiness will double. Everything will be okay even if you’re far from each other.”)

She continued: “Kaya dapat, make sure na masaya ka pa rin sa sarili mo at sa mga bagay na ginagawa mo, before questioning kung may spark pa ba yung relationship, or may happiness pa dun sa relationship niyo.”
(“So make sure that you’re still happy with who you are and what you’re doing before questioning if there’s still a spark in your relationship or if there’s still happiness in your relationship.”)
