The holiday vibe was in full blast at the recently concluded Vermosa Holiday Escape held last December 12 and 13. Located in Daang Hari, Cavite, Vermosa’s lush and open space offered guests a much needed escape from the stressful and crowded shopping experience in the metro. With over one hundred participating merchants, shoppers had a wide selection of products to choose from.
Among the highlights of the bazaar were the celebrity entrepreneurs. Christine ‘Tintin’ Bersola-Babao’s Christmas décor were a hit among holiday shoppers as well as skincare products from Gladys Reyes, home linens and adobo from Marissa Sanchez and bottled food and bangus from Nene Tamayo. Hungry guests also lined-up for Donita Rose and her homemade deli sausages and sandwiches. The actress-turned chef personally prepared and served the customers, happily obliging them with a photo or two.
A newbie in the bazaar circuit, Donita is enjoying the whole experience and is glad that she gets to partner with an event like Vermosa Holiday Escape. As a health and fitness enthusiast, Donita is also looking forward to all the upcoming developments in store for Vermosa—a sprawling 700-hectare project aimed at integrating health and active lifestyle into everyday living. “I work out every day and then I work on my website […] so I think it’s exciting to be part of a community where you can jog and then go to work and spend time with your family,” Donita shared.
In line with Vermosa’s health and wellness thrust, Vermosa Holiday Escape added the importance of maintaining a balanced and active lifestyle into the whole gift scouting and giving exercise. At Vermosa Holiday Escape, shoppers were offered a range of health and wellness items and services from the Go Green booths such as fresh and organic products from nearby farms and local markets in Cavite and a refreshing massage from Nurture Wellness Spa. Meanwhile, athletes and sports enthusiasts enjoyed wares from the Go Active booths that featured sporting gears, apparels, and accessories.
Offering a new platform to the holiday shopping menu, various online entrepreneurs also shared their products at the Vermosa Holiday Escape. Top Instagram and online sellers showcased stationery and arts crafts items as well as trendy fashion finds such as clothing, accessories, and stylish bags.
Vermosa Holiday Escape also prepared several family-centered activities like yoga classes, succulent dish gardening workshops, remote control crawlers and copter races, and the highly anticipated kite flying workshops and competition from the Kite Flying Association of the Philippines.
Over thirty food merchants participated in the event, including food trucks from Mercato that served delectable dishes to guests and shoppers. Adding excitement to the two-day event were various biking activities such as mountain bike skills clinic for adults and kids and a thrilling Pump Track Challenge held at the recently launched Vermosa Mountain Bike Skills Trail (MTB). Vermosa’s community partner, Brgy. Pasong Buaya, was also present during the festivities.
Capping off a fun-filled day of shopping and activities were jam-packed concerts from some of the country’s most talented musical artists. Pop-rock best-selling artist Yeng Constantino and acoustic artist Noel Cabangon entertained guests and shoppers on December 12, while indie-rock band Up Dharma Down performed on the December 13.
Like Donita, Noel also expressed excitement over Ayala Land’s latest offering during a brief media huddle. “[Aside from its wellness features], what I like about Vermosa is it’s so near Metro Manila. It’s so accessible,” Noel said. At peak hours, Vermosa is just 55 minutes away from Makati’s central business district via Muntinlupa-Cavite Expressway (MCX).
