The prayers of Filipino Funko Pop! collectors everywhere have finally been answered. We can now finally own an official vinyl figure of Alexandra Trese, the badass main character of the Filipino comic book series “Trese”!
Local collectibles store Filbar’s made the announcement this week that an Alexandra Trese Funko Pop! will be released under Funko’s Comic Line in two variants. The regular one is a colored figure that depicts her seemingly ready to fight mythological creatures with her kris blade, Sinag. The Chase version, which is the rare variant, is the same figure but in black and white.
The two will be available exclusively at Filbar’s stores starting November 27, 2021. The regular Alexandra Trese figure will be priced at PHP 800 while the Chase figure can only be purchased as part of a six-piece bundle of “Trese” Funko Pops, which includes five regular figures and the Chase variant and is priced at PHP 4,800.
“Trese” is a comic book published in 2005 by Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo. It went on to receive an animated Netflix adaptation in June with Liza Soberano and Shay Mitchell providing the voice for Alexandra Trese in Filipino and the English dub respectively.
