To help provide free meals to the homeless amid the Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ), the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) deploys mobile kitchens.

In a Facebook post by the AFP, they said, “the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) will utilize its Mobile Kitchen to provide hot meals to the homeless and street dwellers in Quezon City.” This is under the Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko Campaign, wherein over 300 individuals and families will be given free hot meals once a day.

According to the AFP, stranded workers or students receiving little or no support, informal settlers and families in depressed communities will also receive meals from the mobile kitchen.

The post also said, “During the activity, culinary trained soldiers will be deployed onboard two (2) military kitchen trucks tagged as Vessels of Blessings.” The AFP also says that those who wish to contribute to the campaign, whether through the use of military resources or donations, may coordinate with the CRSAFP.
