According to studies, 25 cups of coffee a day is safe for heart health

If you’re that person who runs coffee on your veins, you can worry less because a study found that drinking up to a maximum of 25 cups a day is not bad for your heart.

Some studies stated that coffee stiffens arteries, puts pressure on the heart and increases the risk of heart attack or stroke. With that, they warned drinkers to cut down their consumption.

However, a new study of more than 8,000 people across the UK discovered that drinking five cups a day (or even if you’re that wild person who can drink 25 cups…) is no worse for the arteries than drinking less than a cup a day. This research was presented at the British Cardiovascular Society conference in Manchester.

Experts from Queen Mary University of London or QMUL divided 8,000 people into three groups: those who drink less than one cup a day, those who drink between one and three cups a day, and those who drink more than three. Some people in the third group even drank up to 25 cups but the average number was 5 cups a day. Participants underwent MRI heart scans and infrared pulse wave test, and the results held true even after factors such as age, weight, and smoking status were taken into account. Dr. Kenneth Fung from QMUL mentioned…

Despite the huge popularity of coffee worldwide, different reports could put people off from enjoying it. While we can’t prove a causal link in this study, our research indicates coffee isn’t as bad for the arteries as previous studies would suggest.

Guess, it’s official? BRB! Will just grab a cuppa! 😉
