The 10 guard dogs of an empty college building at the back of Philippine Christian University Union Elementary School in Malate need our help. For years, they guarded the grounds. They used to be owned or cared for by workers who left the dogs when the work stopped. So the dogs had to fend for themselves. Most of them are now very thin and sickly. One is limping.
Two college students discovered their plight and made a call to netizens.
Good afternoon, sino po pwede mag ampon ng aso? Wala na po nag-aalaga sa kanila natagpuan lang po ng kaklase ko sa isang abandonadong dormitoryo katabi ng PCU Elementary sa Malvar Street near Pedro Gil. Baka po may gustong mag-alaga ng aso, nilapit na po niya sa PAWS pero wala pa pong feedback. Sobrang nanghihina na po ang tatlong aso yung isang nakakadena halos ayaw na gumalaw sa kinauupuan. Patulong naman po guys! Lalo na sa mga dog lover natin dyan. Nakalocked po ang nasabing establishment balak namin magdala ng pagkain sa mga aso para makakain hanggang sa may mag-ampon o kaya makuha ng pwedeng mag-alaga sa kanila kaso di namin alam paano makakapasok kasi po pribado yung lugar.
Patulong po pagshare para matulungan ang mga aso! Maraming salamat po.
Apparently, tenants from nearby apartments have been complaining about the dogs. The students were told that the dogs will be surrendered to the dog pound in a few days. According to the students, however, the dogs are very friendly. When the students got permission to enter the grounds and feed the dogs, the dogs greeted them happily.
Unfortunately, they are only students with very limited funds. They cannot continue feeding the dogs indefinitely. They are calling for help in the form of dog food and rescue. They also hope people will step up to adopt the dogs as the dog catchers from the pound might come soon.

Napakain po namin sila kanina, binilhan namin kanina ng food, dextrose powder at hinalo sa tubig. May tumulong din sa amin kanina na volunteer para ayusin ang pwesto ng mga aso knina at nilipat sila para makasilong just in case umulan. yun isang itim na dog may pilay po siya, tsaka yung isa may garapata. Mababait po silang mga aso, hindi po sila nangangagat kahit first time lang namin lumapit kanina para pakainin at painumin sila. Sana po may mag-ampon na sa kanila at mapagamot sa vet. They badly need our help. You may contact us if you want to help them kasi estudyante din po kami at umaasa lang din kami sa allowances na binibigay sa amin. Nag-aambag lang po kami knina para mapakain sila. Kaya as soon as possible Sana may mahanap tayong mag-aampon sa kanila. Thank you so much and Godbless.
