Battle History

Pioneer organized the first DJ Battle back in 1998. Being the brand that has been at the forefront of DJ-ing trends and constantly promoted the art of mixing music, Pioneer’s continued promise in delivering world class DJ equipment for DJs and providing platforms for budding DJs to be seen and heard is undisputedly recognized as THE BRAND in the forefront of music technology and fashion.

PIONEER DJ has been the industry leader in sound, visual, and line performance products for 20 years. To this day, it lives up to its name through constant innovation and continuously breaking new ground in the Electronic Dance Music Scene.  

This 2014, Pioneer DJ ups the ante another notch with the 8th PIONEER DIGITAL DJ BATTLE!

Happening on October 17-18, this rare event will do more than just showcase Pioneer’s state-of-the art products. It will also bring together the hottest young DJs from 12 different countries—each of them out to prove their worth in the DJ battle arena. 

 

The 2-day electronic music event will also be peppered with performances from the Philippines best-known DJs: Funk Avy (resident DJ of Imperial, 2006 Pioneer DJ Representative), DJ Mark Nicosia (2008 Pioneer DJ Representative, Head Instructor of Bounce Manila) and DJ Katsy Lee (2012 Pioneer DJ Representative, 4th place at Pioneer Digital DJ Battle Asia Championship).  

As part of this electronic music event, what will also take place is the Pioneer DJ Expo where Pioneer will launch the newest products – HDJ-C70 DJ Headphone and the DDJ SX2 Controller System, where top-of-the-line DJ Sound System Equipment will also be displayed. A special one-day SUPER Sale, up to 50% on selected items is also set on the event. 

Another highlight is the Pioneer DJ Clinic where DJ faculty from Beat Project Manila and Bounce DJ School will host the DJ Mixing Workshop. Also present are the 9 dj delegates from 8 Asian countries and Australia who will be introduced to the EDM crowd. 

DJ and turntable enthusiasts and wannabes wanting to learn the ropes will really take a lot from this free-entrance event happening on October 17, 2014, at the Mall of Asia Music Hall. Gates open at 1pm. To be hosted by BNO Slick Rick, Tony Tony and DJ Arra.
