If you’re looking for great Italian food, Mamma Mia in Uptown Mall should be on your map. They have a wide selection of classic Italian food to choose from. They’ve got what you need: antipasti (appetizers), insalate (salad), zuppe (soups), pasta, pizza, risotto, pollo (chicken), frutti di mare (seafood), maiale (pork), carne (beef), paninis and burgers, as well as dolce (desserts). The best part? They serve some of the cheesiest Italian dishes.
We were able to try their 6 Cheese Pizza, their Spaghetti Carbonara Alla Mamma Mia, Lasagna 5 Formaggi (5 cheese lasagna), Mozzarella Bites, and Formaggi Misti—and man, they were cheesy all right.
6 Cheese Pizza with Cheese-Stuffed Crust (Php595)
Here, they’ve pushed the limits to know just how cheesy a cheese pizza can get with their 6 Cheese Pizza. A personal favorite of mine. What I love about this pizza is that, although it is topped with six different kinds of cheese, the taste isn’t overwhelming. Cheese is very rich in flavor, but the fact that this was able to balance the flavors of all six is amazing. The six kinds of cheese used for this pizza are gorgonzola, mozzarella, pecorino, parmigiano reggiano, scamorza, and taleggio.
Spaghetti Carbonara Alla Mamma Mia (Php485 solo | Php1,520 for sharing)
Spaghetti Carbonara Alla Mamma Mia is their own cheesy twist on the classic bacon carbonara pasta. It is topped with loads and loads of parmesan cheese, black pepper, and pancetta. I would still eat this even if I were lactose intolerant (thank God, I’m not lactose intolerant though).
Lasagna 5 Formaggi (Php570 solo serving P2,100 for sharing)
I love lasagna. And though every single Italian restaurant serves one, this lasagna is no ordinary lasagna. Mamma Mia’s Lasagna 5 Formaggi is OVERLOADED with five different kinds of cheese. Each type is layered inside the fresh pasta and baked to absolute perfection. Be careful though—it is hot!
Mozzarella Bites (Php350)
Who doesn’t love mozzarella? There’s nothing more satisfying than eating some delicious mozzarella sticks, or in this case, Mozzarella Bites. Ahh, that satisfying cheese pull when you bite into it is addicting! And it’s not the type of mozzarella bites where it’s 70% air and 30% mozzarella. This one is packed with the mozza.
Formaggi Misti (Php700)
Want something a little more fancy-schmancy? Something to enjoy with a glass of red wine? Then try their Formaggi Misti. On this platter, you will find four different traditional varieties of Italian cheese—reggiano, provolone, emmental, and bastardo del grappa.

Every dish that we had was the ultimate cheesy dream. Especially the pizza and the pastas. I can’t wait to go back and hopefully try their other dishes. They have so much to choose from! Did I mention they have 14 different pizzas that all have cheese-stuffed crust? Plus, all their dishes come in big servings, which makes everything good to share. One solo serving of pasta is good for at least three people. So for the price range, it is totally worth it.
