3rd WYA Asia Pacific Emerging Leaders Conference

 

Over 130 young people from Asia Pacific will be selected at this year’s Emerging Leaders Conference themed Strengthening the Family: Key to Asia Pacific Development. The 3-day conference is organized by World Youth Alliance Asia Pacific from October 16 to 18, 2014 at the Traders Hotel Manila, Philippines.

The Emerging Leaders Conference is an annual event for young individuals to learn about the salient issues of today and how they can apply their roles as leaders through a variety of talks, forums and interactive activities. Participants will have the opportunity to share their ideas and build networks with other youth leaders from the Asia Pacific region. It also serves as venue for young people to engage in cultural exchanges. This will strengthen a region-wide cooperation among Asia Pacific youth to implement projects among participating individuals and organizations as well as explore possibilities for project collaboration, laying the groundwork for long-term partnerships.

 

 

On its 3rd year, the WYAAP Emerging Leaders Conference will focus on the theme “Strengthening the Family: Key to Asia Pacific Development”. The United Nations has declared 2014 as the International Year of the Family. WYA joins the international celebrations in order to examine the relationship between healthy families and the development and flourishing of societies and nations. The plenary sessions are set to discuss the challenges to the family as well as success stories and best practices for the protection and promotion of the family in policy and culture.

All interested participants must submit a completed application form on or before August 23, 2014 (Saturday) for Early Bird Registration and September 6, 2014 (Saturday) for Regular Registration to wyaap.conference@gmail.com. You will be notified via email or phone if you have been accepted to the conference. When accepted, conference details and payment procedures will be will be given to you. Payment deadline is on September 8, 2014 (Monday) for Early Bird Delegates and September 22, 2014 (Monday) for Regular Registration. Once payment is made, a conference slot will be reserved for you.
